    Raw Material (INCI) Function
Phase A (Oil Phase)
5 g Cellobiose Lipid (97%) Emulsifier
0.625 g Sodium Hydroxide (10% aq) pH adjusting
5 g Cetearyl Alcohol Consistency Factor
5 g Glyceryl Stearate Consistency Factor
32.5 g Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Emollient
12.5 g Olea Europaea Fruit Oil Emollient
5 g Dicaprylyl Ether Emollient
Phase B (Aqueous)
174.875 g Aqua Solvent
7.5 g Glycerin Humectant
0.75 g Xanthan Gum Stabilizing
1.25 g Benzyl Alcohol Preservative

Procedure
  1. Phase A preparation: The components of phase A are heated to approx. 80 °C.
  2. Phase B preparation: Xanthan gum is dispersed homogeneously in water and glycerine at room temperature with stirring. The aqueous phase is heated to 80°C. Phytic acid and benzyl alcohol are provided separately.
  3. The phase A is given to the phase B portion by portion with stirring (dissolver) and heated to 80°C.
  4. The emulsion is cooled with stirring to 60°C. Phytic acid and benzyl alcohol are added in succession with stirring.
  5. The emulsion is cooled with stirring to 25°C.
  6. The emulsion is homogenized < 25°C by stirring it for 1 minute or by passing it once over an emulsifying machine at stage no. 5.
  7. If necessary, the pH is adjusted to 5.0-6.0 using either aqueous citric acid (50%) or aqueous sodium hydroxide (10%).
  8. Finally the emulsion is deaerated in an exsikkator under vacuum.
